Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Educational and Charitable Society, Trikaripur, is a voluntary Organization committed for the cause of Education and Rehabilitation at no cost for the children with disability , Adults and Senior citizens lives in the rural area, categorize under Below Poverty Level in Kasaragod District of Kerala state. The Organization has been extending its services for the last 5 years. As a part of man power development services, it has started B.Sc. (ASLP) 4 years Rehabilitation professional course during the academic year 2019-20 at Trikaripur, Kerala State. The institute is affiliated to The Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur and Approved by Rehabilitation Council of India, (Government of India), New Delhi. The Trusts preferred to choose rural area for opening the institute and clinics rather than urban city area like many organizations, as services to the disabled needs includes reaching to them.

The institute Clinics had offered extensively services to the speech & hearing disordered and disabled even amidst of COVID 19 Pandemic along with the extra safety precautions. The services to the needy in the rural areas are specially taken care by the experienced WHO trained Audiologists and Speech Pathologists staffs. Various social organizations also taken such initiative in coordination with the institute in identification of hearing handicapped and free of cost rehabilitation for the senior citizens and BPL citizens.

The Trust

The Rajiv Gandhi Educational and Charitable Society is a registered society, established in 2004 with the objective of promoting educational and charitable services. The society is delivering humanitarian services to people and undertaking various socioeconomic, educational, and cultural activities. Society started, "The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Speech & Hearing" to offer new opportunities to the students seeking paramedical education.

The institution has the envision to create the capacity, creativity, moral leadership, righteousness, and revolutionary research atmosphere among the students community.
